This video is about Apple Pencil accessories for 2021 that you might like. And, honestly, while I wanted to upgrade my iPad this summer, I thought maybe I’d try new Apple Pencil accessories instead.
What I Currently Use for My Ipad
I get asked what tools I often used, for this video recording, I am using:
- The iPad Pro 12.9″ Gen 3
- Apple Pencil Gen 2
- I do not use a screen protector because I don’t care for the grainy/rainbow look it makes on an iPad Pro retina screen.

IFELI Low-Friction All-in-One Silicone Tip Replacement for Apple Pencil
I love the silicone tip replacement for Apple Pencil! Overall I love how it makes things feel more natural to draw. I do not like screen protectors for my IPad, and I talk about this in the video. This makes me not have to use a screen protector for sure.
After using these silicone tips for a bit, I do notice that the silicone wears down easily. Maybe it’s the brand, and maybe it’s just the silicon. I hope it’s not hard to find one that lasts. Maybe I need to not press down with my Apple Pencil that hard? I am on a mission to test a few other brands.
I definitely recommend a silicone tip replacement to try if you don’t like screen protectors either.
Price: $17.99 for two (this may differ based on your account type and location).
MoKo Holder Case with Retractable Tip
I really liked the idea of this Apple Pencil Accessory to protect the Apple Pencil with the retractable tip of the case. That being said, it’s not a good idea for a Gen 2 Apple Pencil where you need to charge it by connecting it to the side of your iPad.
I think the MoKo holder case would be great for those with a Gen 1 Apple Pencil, so you can charge it easier.
It was a little difficult to remove my Apple Pencil from the case. And the thickness may be too much for some. I can see if you need that type for accessibility reasons; it would be a good resource.

3 Pack iPencil Grips
I love these silicone grips for my Apple Pencil. I was really looking for a silicon grip to use as an alternative to my older full Apple Pencil sleeves. When the silicon warms up, it doesn’t stay tight and can move off the pencil as you use it. These silicone grips seem to have a nice tight fit on the Apple Pencil.
They can be difficult to get on, but I find that a good thing as they don’t feel like they move around much. So far, I’m pretty happy using them for a few weeks.
Price: $8.99 for three
Fintie Pencil Holder
I had high hopes for these Fintie Pencil Holders. The idea of not losing my Apple Pencil was a must. Sadly these don’t work well if you have a silicone sleeve or grip on your Apple Pencil. It is a very tight fit and will push your grips off or wrinkle them.
If you have a Gen 1 Apple Pencil, there is a spot on the bottom to hold the cap while you charge it. Pretty cool.
Looking for a new alternative for this!
