How I Use Procreate | Part 1 Sketching and Inking by Holly Pixels

If you have ever wonder how I use Procreate to create my artwork I’m going to show you! This is the first in a three-part series where I show you my process for creating my art. I’ll show you how I use procreate this week in Part 1 to sketch and ink my art.

In Part 2, I will walk you through the process of I color my artwork – and give myself an idea of how I want my artwork to look before I vector it. I prefer to vector all of my artwork if I’m going to take it further like in surface pattern designs or an enamel pin.

I prefer to sketch and ink out my first ideas using Procreate, similar to a sketch book. I never use Procreate for my finals. Procreate has pixelation issues when you rotate or resize things. I see this complaint all of the time on the Procreate community forums. So, like a sketchbook, I draw out my ideas and then send it to my computer to finalize and tweak.

My Reviews on Screen Protectors

At the time of this blog post I am still testing this protector. Please note that I ended up NOT liking it and took it off. I do not use a screen protector on my iPad at all. I don’t like how it makes my iPad Pro retina screen have weird coloring like a rainbow effect. I prefer to not use one at all.
