This week, I thought I’d show you how I vector Rosie the Riveter Pig in Adobe Illustrator.
How I Vector Rosie The Riveter Pig in Adobe Illustrator
This is a drawing I have had done for a long time, you may have seen it on my Instagram feed. But this month I have been remodeling my office area. And, I decided I needed some artwork.
I bought nine square frames for one of the walls and I figured that it would be fun to draw out some of my favorite drawings on Instagram in black and white to put in them.
So, I have been bringing my screenshots into Illustrator and vectoring the line art so I can scale them and clean things up. As I always say, I love my Adobe Illustrator! Vector programs allow for scalability without quality loss. Unlike Procreate or Photoshop, Illustrator is my go-to for final artwork.
Why I Vector in Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is great for flat style art and I highly recommend it as I’ve used it for over 25 years. I get that some people love free apps or other ones on the market for the iPad, but this will always be MY tried and true!
I had another blog post scheduled for today but I had to switch things up as that one fell through – and since I was already doing this, drawing, I decided I would record it and chat with you.
It’s informal, not really a tutorial, but more of a watch me draw type of video.
I hope you enjoy it!
