Product Instructions

Updated on October 1, 2021

Here’s how to use our products at Holly Pixels. Look for the type of product you’re downloading for complete instructions below. Sometimes, with version changes to Procreate, things may look different. Let us know, and we’ll update this page.

Download Issues

If you’re having trouble with your email order links, try logging into your shop account and reviewing your order dashboard, and downloading from there. Sometimes we need to reset order links from time to time, so it’s always best to get them from your order history vs. your email. Also, avoid using Chrome on your iPad, and it simply isn’t as compatible with the iPad as Safari. We recommend Safari, and your orders should download perfectly!

Note About Where Your Files Go When You Download Them

  • Use Safari, not Chrome, on your iPad to download.
  • All files you purchase from us will go to your Files App in the Downloads folder.
  • Please allow ample time for them to complete the download process. When you don’t allow ample time, you will encounter file errors trying to unzip or import them. We recommend downloading one item at a time until it completes. This process will go as fast or slow depending on your connectivity to the Internet.

How to find your Files App: swipe down on your iPad home screen and search: Files.

Still Having Issues?

  1. Download the file from the store order dashboard rather than your order email.
  2. Close out of all of your apps
  3. Check settings for an iOS update - you may have to pull down to refresh so something shows. If there is, update it. If not, do step 3.
  4. Reboot your device

Please submit a ticket with us and include your order number if those don't work.

Procreate

Brushes Install

Procreate brushes downloads will be in a zip file. As previously mentioned in older videos, you no longer need an unzipping app on the iPad. Once you tap on the zip file, it will decompress, and it will reveal a .brushset file or a folder with that file inside it. That means that all brushes in that set are in one file together.

  • Make sure you have downloaded your purchase via Safari and NOT Chrome.
  • Your files will download to your Files App/Downloads folder on your iPad
  • Press it to unzip, and then let the folder sync to your iCloud. Once complete, you can open the folder and navigate your files included in the purchase.
  • Locate the .brushset file
  • Press on the file, and it will automatically import into Procreate
  • You won't see it most likely until you go into Procreate and create a new canvas and open the brushes palette. These appear at the top of the palette.

Fonts

  • Make sure you have downloaded your purchase via Safari and NOT Chrome.
  • Your files will download to your Files App/Downloads folder
  • Press each zip file to unzip, and then let the folder sync to your iCloud. Once complete, you can open the folder and navigate your files included in the purchase.
  • For font installation using Any Font and Procreate, watch our video here (please skip the unzipping portion as you can now unzip directly in iPad OS as of January 2020.)
